Terms of Service

Welcome to Popnota. By using the service you agree to these terms. In short: be a decent human, and share only what's yours to share.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Popnota.

Acceptable use

Don't post or do any of the following:

• Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats.
• Sexual content involving minors, or other illegal content.
• Spam, scams, or misleading impersonation of others.
• Scraping, reverse-engineering, or disrupting the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. Popnota is a public space: the notes and replies you share are visible to other users. By posting, you grant Popnota a limited licence to store and display your content so the service can function. Direct messages are private to their participants. You're responsible for what you share.

That licence also lets us feature a public note on Popnota's own accounts on other platforms — to show people what the app is like. What goes out is the note's text, your username and your avatar: the same things anyone can already see on that note's public page. Public notes only, never direct messages or private posts, and never in a way that suggests you endorse something. If you'd rather we left your notes out of it, tell us and we will.

Moderation & enforcement

Popnota screens content with an automated safety filter and may remove anything that breaks these rules. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate them. You can report or block any user from within the app.

Purchases

Popnota is free to use. We offer optional in-app purchases for cosmetic extras only — additional background themes, note-card designs and avatar styles, plus an "unlock everything" option. These purchases customise how the app looks; they don't affect posting, reach, or any core feature, and everyone sees the same content regardless.

Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account, and are subject to Apple's terms — we never receive or store your payment card details. Because these items unlock digital content immediately, they are generally non-refundable except where required by law or under Apple's refund policy. Manage or request refunds for App Store purchases through Apple.

Disclaimer

Popnota is provided "as is" and "as available" while we keep building it. Features may change or be discontinued. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties and aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll revise the date above when we do. Continuing to use Popnota after changes means you accept them.
